Inquiry Reflection Term 2 2016

Inquiry Reflection!

This term In inquiry we have been doing lots of learning about Science - Planet Earth and Beyond. My question is: What impact does a tornado have on planet Earth and Jupiter? The answer to my question is easy really, a tornado wrecks heaps more on planet earth than on Jupiter because Earth has heaps of man built stuff where's jupiter just has sand, rocks, and cliffs to destroy.
I have made a model of a tornado. I started off with a large nappy box, then I painted a landscape inside the box, later I added items like houses , horses, trees, and more. My model  hopefully shows the answer to my question because it has a line down the, one side is Wrecked and one side isn’t.I enjoyed making the tornado but didn't really enjoy painting the inside.
I liked doing the rotations and it’s the kind of thing I’d like to do again.

Week 7's Reflection! 2016

                                 Divisible Numbers!
What? This week we have been learning the divisibility rule for 3.

Why?Because it is an easy strategy to use on any sized number.

How?It is actually really easy, so say you have the number 9174 you plus all the numbers together so 9+1+7+4=21.Is 21 one of the 3 time tables (yes).

Swimming Sports! 2016

Swimming Sports !

Thump! Thump! We slowly stroll on the ragged concrete.Splash! The wind wipes Rubi’s auburn hair as she quickly dives into the cool water. The pale tents wave to say good luck as I perch nervously on the edge of the pool.Bang! Goes the clapper fearfully I leap into the pool. The water kiss’s me with those sloppy blue lips. The lane ropes dance gleefully as I smack The wall.Suddenly the water starts clapping as I leap out of the pool.I took one last glance over to see the emerald flags waving goodbye before wandering back to my school house.

If I were a tree

  If I were a tree,

I would stand tall and proud like a peacock.
I would sway happily  as the cool summers breeze refreshes me.
I could beat the ugly auburn leaves until they fall into the shimmering stream.
The wood would slowly shatter unwanting to be firewood.
At night I would see the tree happily staring up at the glistening stars.

Hi my names Aylee! My two best friends are Rubi and Charli and my teacher is
awesome Mrs Hobbs! On the weekends I love to spend time with our pony at
my nans or play sport as in netball, athletic's or touch. At school I had always
wanted Mrs Hobbs as my teacher and my favourite subjects would probably
be PE, Art and Inquiry. I have a family of 4 but mum is due at the end of
April I kind of want it to be boy but I don't really care. I think I'm up for a cool
                                                 year with Miss Hobbs!

Term 4 Inquiry - Technology

My animal is the Brown Kiwi.

What does my animal need in its enclosure?
Moss, dead leaves, some little insects and bugs for them to eat, a couple of dead stumps (punga), dirt, a small stream and it also has to be dark so lights.

What features did I add just for my animal and how are they helpful
I added a big punga with a hole in the middle for the kiwis to sleep in and also for shelter. I also put in some green and green and yellow moss so that there would be some small bugs and insects for the kiwis to eat.

Did I make any changes and why did I decide to do that?

Yes, I had to move some moss and sticks so that there was room for the egg shells and the kiwis to perch.
