Triathlon 2016

2016 Triathlon!

"Go!" I silently jog over the emerald grass as the glistening Jew shimmers in the daylight. Gracefully the trees sway to a silent breeze as I sprint along the auburn concrete. the tassel is as hot as fire as I tip-toe across the road to see my shiny black bike perching under an ancient shady oak tree.

"Wahoo!" Mum screams as I curve around a corner as fast as a speeding bullet. I was half way round the field when I glare over to see Rubi, my heart beats fast I might be able to lap her.

"Puff! Puff!" I silently jog over to the sparkling pool which is as sapphire as a mid summers day as I stand on the Gray ragged edge ready to take the plunge. I gracefully dolphin dive to the end of the pool and host myself out. Scorching hot I go and get myself a juice happy with my first place!

Snow Trip Recount (2016)

Snow Trip Recount!
I slowly hobble over to the edge of the steeper slope. The weight of my snowboard is horrendous not to mention the butterflies turning fiercely in my tummy. I could hear the constant drip! drip! from the sneaky waterfall behind me. Rubi suddenly face plants right next to me we were ready, I was ready to snowboard for the very first time.

Rubi and I had pushed of we were steadily gliding down the middle of the slope. All was going very well until disaster struck, we had height a mob of first time skiers forcing us to fall over to come to a sudden halt. My hand became as cold as a freezer as a heap of snow leaked into my sapphire glove. I could see a spinet of blood tickerling down my wrist from me trying to force the latch open on my snowboard so that I could get up.

We were of again speedily zig zagging from side to side I was finally getting the hang of it. The clouds had suddenly scattered causing the scorching sun to heat us up like an oven. I was nearily at the end. I could see Mrs.Hobbs hand shaking terribly as she held up a camera videoing me as I came to a halt right in front of her feet. I was so close I could feel her warm breath smothering over my face. I had done it, I had snowboarded for the very first time.

Term 4 inquiry 2016

This terms inquiry has been really simple but fun.On the last week of term 3 kahikatea team went on a snow trip, when we got back we made a list of the problems at the ski fields. After that we chose one of the problems and made a slide show on how to fix that problem.

Term 1 Inquiry 2016

This terms inquiry has been really fun because we got to create the game for our class for the school fair and we got to have the responsibility of cooking. The game was quite hard but we only got one try because me and Rubi spent half the day looking for some crazy rat mask. And cooking was fun because we got to eat the testers although my groups food was an epic fail.

Butterfly Frendship Poem! 28.10.2016

Butterfly Frendship Poem!

Have you ever admired a butterfly
There glamour and grace,
The kind that squat amongst the peach flowers
Looking for a peaceful place.

They flutter through the sky
The scorching sun against there delicate wings,
Far more dainty than any fly.

I watch them as they hover
And wonder how it could be
That whenever I see these beautiful creatures
Your face comes to me.

You are my best friend
You are always there for me and it never depends.

Inquiry Reflection Term 2 2016

Inquiry Reflection!

This term In inquiry we have been doing lots of learning about Science - Planet Earth and Beyond. My question is: What impact does a tornado have on planet Earth and Jupiter? The answer to my question is easy really, a tornado wrecks heaps more on planet earth than on Jupiter because Earth has heaps of man built stuff where's jupiter just has sand, rocks, and cliffs to destroy.
I have made a model of a tornado. I started off with a large nappy box, then I painted a landscape inside the box, later I added items like houses , horses, trees, and more. My model  hopefully shows the answer to my question because it has a line down the, one side is Wrecked and one side isn’t.I enjoyed making the tornado but didn't really enjoy painting the inside.
I liked doing the rotations and it’s the kind of thing I’d like to do again.

Swimming Sports! 2016

Swimming Sports !

Thump! Thump! We slowly stroll on the ragged concrete.Splash! The wind wipes Rubi’s auburn hair as she quickly dives into the cool water. The pale tents wave to say good luck as I perch nervously on the edge of the pool.Bang! Goes the clapper fearfully I leap into the pool. The water kiss’s me with those sloppy blue lips. The lane ropes dance gleefully as I smack The wall.Suddenly the water starts clapping as I leap out of the pool.I took one last glance over to see the emerald flags waving goodbye before wandering back to my school house.

If I were a tree

  If I were a tree,

I would stand tall and proud like a peacock.
I would sway happily  as the cool summers breeze refreshes me.
I could beat the ugly auburn leaves until they fall into the shimmering stream.
The wood would slowly shatter unwanting to be firewood.
At night I would see the tree happily staring up at the glistening stars.
